For Spring/Summer 2012, Ermenegildo Zegna proposes a relaxed demeanor, but one that is as well-tailored as it is confident.
Zegna designs, as you can see in this collection, are in diluted shades. Pale blue and green, dusty mauve and sand make a compelling pallet. The fabrics, mostly silk blends with cotton or linen, give a suppleness to the pieces, highlighting the relaxed but chic confidence and ease of the collection.
There are single-breasted and double-breasted jackets in this Spring/Summer collection. Plus, the flat-front and box-pleated trousers look comfortable and easy to wear. They are cut, of course, for the fit male physique.
Continuing the overall ease of these clothes, Zegna showed crewneck knits, tees with silk scarves as alternatives to shirts and ties. Also, smart looking lightweight raincoats were worn as if an after thought over several outfits.
Overall, it appears Zegna foresees a confident male at ease with himself and his finely tailored effortless style for Spring/Summer 2012. It’s a collection so fit for the sophisticated accomplished modern male.
